We are delighted to announce that we have secured Reserved Matters planning consent for our new development of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes in the village of Walkern, Stevenage, in Hertfordshire.
The site, which was secured at the end of 2016 with the benefit of outline planning consent, has been subject to a lengthy planning process. Throughout this time, care has been taken to consult and engage with the planning authority and other community stakeholders, to ensure that we created a scheme that compliments the village, which provides a wide range of housing solutions; and which creates large areas of public amenity space and accessibility across the site.
We will be working collaboratively with our Registered Provider partner Aldwyck Housing Group, www.aldwyck.co.uk and their subsidiary Lea Valley Developments to deliver the scheme, which includes 40% affordable housing (34 homes for rent and shared ownership).
Works are expected to commence on site in the Spring, with our sales launch for 'Midsummer Vale' anticipated in the Summer.
