Help to sell your existing home with assisted move as part of our Imprve Your Move scheme.
It is often easy to find your dream home, but may be harder to find a buyer for your current property. With our assisted move scheme we can hold your dream home off the market and help you to list and sell your existing one for the best price, allowing you to quickly and easily buy your Mears New Home.
How it works:
1. You choose your Mears New Home
2. Three estate agents will be instructed to value your property to sell
3. You will then be given a report on the valuations and be presented with a recommended sale price for your home to go on the market
4. Once the sale price is agreed, the property will go on the market for an initial 4 weeks with your two chosen estate agents that valued your property
5. Your chosen MNH property will be held off the market for the initial 4 weeks whilst you sell.
6. Once you have sold your current home, you can make a full reservation on your Mears New Home
o Cost effective – Mears New Homes will provide a contribution to your estate agent fees, making selling your home cheaper for you
o Easy – all aspects of the sale will be managed so that you don’t have to deal with the stress of selling your home. This involved everything from viewings, qualifying offers and managing the progression of any attached chains
o Quick – the two estate agents appointed both will be motivated to sell your home, ensuring that the right deal is made quickly so that you can secure the property you want to buy
o Committed – Helping you to sell your property shows that we are committed to selling you ours
o Inclusive – no matter what property you have to sell, whether it be a listed building or leasehold property, we will be able to support you in listing your property, whatever its location
Do you work with another company to provide this service?
We work with TNHG (The New Homes Group) to be able to support you in making your move smooth. Together, we will proactively handle all aspects of the process, from valuation right through to legal completion.
How do you choose which estate agents value my property?
We’ll obtain valuations for your existing home from a wide range of local, independent and high street estate agents.
How will my property be advertised for sale?
The chosen estate agent will usually post it on their website and popular property portals including RightMove or Zoopla.
What happens if I cannot sell my home after the agreed 4 weeks?
If your existing home has not sold after 4 weeks it will be actively managed, and Mears New Homes will review the deal and price with you. In some cases when a house is not sold within the 4 weeks, the assisted move agreement may be terminated.
What happens if I sell my home using the Assisted Move scheme, and do not end up purchasing the Mears New Home property?
In the unlikely event that you no longer continue with the purchase, you will become responsible in full for the estate agent’s fees and costs as set out in their terms.
Can do an assisted move alongside another Improve Your Move scheme?
